Halloween Aprons

https://www.etsy.com/listing/203717524/halloween-apron-skeletons?

In 1929, Disney made a "Silly Symphony" cartoon called "Skeleton Dance".  Black-and-white cartoons, can you imagine?  The skeletons on this apron call to mind those dancing for Disney.
Rattling bones!

The recipes we always come back to

If the only recipe I ever used from the Cottey College cookbook was the banana bread recipe, that would make it alone worth the cost.  Every time for the past two years that bananas have gotten to the bread stage of ripeness, I've gone to that very simple but  good recipe!

We're also celebrating Puppy's 3rd birthday today, and again, I have recipes to go back to.  Except they aren't really recipes! Our children love chicken salad.  Love it.  So this time, I used the whole chicken for chicken salad.  There's a method my cousin taught me a few years ago, but not a recipe.  Mayonnaise, curry powder, salt, lemon juice, cut-up grapes, and a little pickle relish are added to taste.  That's about it.    Every time we buy grapes, the children hope for this stuff!

Why the name ClassiKAprons?

When I started making aprons to sell, I put out the question to my friends and family as to what I should call it.  I am not a very frilly sort of woman.  Feminine, yes, frilly, no.   AND, I sell men's aprons . Ergo, I didn't want something that called to mind flowered teapots or ruffled curtains.
After some brainstorming, a high school classmate suggested the winning name, ClassiKAprons.  The capital K is of course for my own name and to make it stand out a bit.  "Classic" or "ClassiK" alludes to my love of vintage everything and of classic cars in particular.

Hello, world!

   Welcome to ClassiKAprons!

I'm Katie Gillet, and I have a wide variety of aprons for sale.   I developed patterns of my own for several styles of aprons over years of giving them as gifts, often for bridal showers.  However, I also have men's and children's aprons.  Making these, with artistic touches, is one of my favorite forms of artwork.
Watch this blog for pictures of the aprons I have available via my Etsy shop   https://www.etsy.com/shop/ClassiKAprons?ref=hdr_shop_menu

Thanks and hi again!
